Enid Lake is one of four lakes in North Mississippi operated by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. The Enid Lake Project offers many recreational activities such as boating, swimming, water-skiing, fishing, camping, picnicking, hiking, nature photography, environmental interpretive programs, and a horseback-riding trail.
Recreation areas contain parking areas, camping facilities, picnic shelters, boat launching ramps, drinking water, restrooms, showers, swimming beaches, and amphitheaters. Enid Lake is famous for its fishing, with an abundance of crappie, largemouth bass, catfish, and bream. The world record white crappie (5.3 lbs) and the world record shortnose gar (5.83 lbs) was caught at Enid Lake.
